Description
The SunStim Pro Peripheral Nerve stimulator offers an easy-to-read illuminated digital screen displays. The nerve stimulator is used for localizing peripheral nerves during the initiation of nerve blocks. Using stimulation with a low-intensity electrical current has become common practice in regional anesthesia. The ergonomic compact shape fits comfortable in hand. The train of four nerve stimulator output current is fully adjustable from 0-70 mA. Sometimes called a train-of-four monitor.
Switch functions:
◦ Double burst: Two 60-ms bursts of 50 Hz separated by 0.75 s
◦ Twitch: 1 pulse per second
◦ Tetanus: 50 Hz (50 pulses/s) or 100 Hz (100 pulses/s)
◦ Built-in train of four: 4 pulses in a period of 2 seconds
◦ Stimulus pulse: square wave monophasic pulses (200-μs duration)
The unit is supplied with a 9 volt alkaline battery, gray silicone wrap, ball electrodes, and 6′ leads with alligator clips.
