Medical suction regulators are designed for a variety of uses.  Medical facilities often have piped in suction or suction available through the headwall where you simply plug in the suction regulator then begin suctioning.  Because there are different manufacturers of headwalls and different companies that make the box for those headwalls there are many different connectors.  You must have the right “back fitting” to enable you to connect your suction regulator to the headwall.  There are also a variety of outlet fittings. Additionally there are also mobile and portable suction pumps which have their own built in suction regulation.
